Life’s Little Luxuries Between the Sheets

Getting the news today of another magazine folding that I write for inspires me to find creative ways to remain hopeful, fighting the urge to crawl up and cry the economy woes.

Yes, like most, I’ve cut back on my expenses by doing my own hair coloring, cooking more instead of eating out and even trying to grow my own veggies. But this wears on my psyche after a while of watching every nickel and dime.

There are ways to indulge in life’s little luxuries without going bankrupt: having my sheets professionally cleaned and ironed is one of them.

With my bed being one of my favorite places in the world, having pristine, crisp sheets to crawl into after a long day gives me hope for a brighter future financially.

Sounds silly? Not for Martha Stewart, who supposedly irons her own while watching her favorite movie, and not to me. The say the devil is in the details, well I say manifesting prosperity is in the details, like ironed sheets and polished shoes and a clean car and the list goes on.

For $3.50 a sheet, the feeling of plush pampering without going into debt is priceless.

Located in Sherman Oaks, Custom Laundry & Cleaners is one of the only places in Los Angeles that has a special sheet-cleaning machine. When the sheets are done, they come wrapped in paper, tied with a bow, like a Christmas present.

Do yourself and your partner a favor, and get some of your own little luxury between the sheets just because it feels good.
